Dr. Houck has been in the dental industry since she worked as an undergraduate dental assistant. After finishing school, she worked serving low-income families at Marian Clinic in Topeka for two years. Dr. Houck worked for several years as an associate at Topeka Smiles before partnering with Dr. Beckler.

Dr. Houck enjoys sailing, reading, traveling, and hiking in her free time. She maintains a belief that smiles are universal — giving people the happy, healthy smiles they’ve always wanted is one of her top priorities.

Michael M. Myers, DDS

Dr. Myers is a native of Topeka, graduating from Topeka High School. While Dr. Myers didn’t come from a family with a background in dentistry, many of his good family friends have careers in the dental field. Dr. Myers practiced dentistry for 3 years in Holton, Kansas before joining Drs. Houck and Beckler at Topeka Smiles. Dr. Myers prides himself on being committed to providing comfortable, quality care to his patients at Topeka Smiles.

In his spare time, you will likely find Dr. Myers spending time at the lake, wrangling his puppy Truman, or planning his next trip with his wife, Morgan.

Talisa Hopper, DDS

Dr. Talisa Hopper is a Topeka native that first found her passion for dentistry in the 2^nd grade. While attending Washburn Rural High School, Talisa assisted at Topeka Smiles. Dr. Hopper graduated from the University of Kansas where she was a Rock Chalk Dancer for three years before completing dental school at UMKC School for Dentistry. She has now seen her dream come true when she returned to Topeka to practice dentistry at Topeka Smiles as an associate.

Dr. Hopper is a thoughtful, caring, and determined person. Her passion for dentistry translates into each patient she sees as she puts their needs, well-being, and best interests first. In her free time, you will find her outside walking, working in her garden, or spending time with her family and friends.
